School’s out—and we know that brings a lot of days to fill. Fortunately, a number of SA2020 Partners are hosting summer camps (and more) to offer opportunities for learning, exploring, and creating. Read more about them—and find out how to register—below.
- Alamo City Arts offers Summer of Dance camps, including jazz, flamenco, musical theater, and more. They also host single, two-hour camps on Saturdays. (June and July)
- Artpace is hosting summer camp workshops led by artists. (June and July)
- Children’s Association for Maximum Potential (CAMP) holds overnight summer camp sessions in Center Point, Texas for children and adults with mild to severe medical conditions or disabilities. Siblings aged 5-13 without a medical condition or disability can also attend. (June-August)
- Girls Inc. will host two different summer camp options: Glenda Woods Girls University camps for girls in 1st through 6th grade (June and July) and Young Women’s Leadership Camp for girls in 7th and 8th grade (July).
- Hemisfair has free events scheduled throughout the summer, including story time, movie nights, and inclusion programming.
- San Antonio Botanical Garden offers a variety of summer camps at the garden, exploring nature, art, science, cooking, and more. (June-August)
- San Antonio Zoo has summer zoo camps for grades Kindergarten-5th and 6th-8th offered throughout the summer.
- The DoSeum‘s camps for the youngest ages are already at capacity, but some availability remains for ages 8-11. The DoSeum also offers other events, including free family nights, throughout the summer.
- Woodlawn Theatre is hosting performing arts camps for ages 5-18. (June-August)
- Youth Code Jam is partnering with other organizations to offer coding camps for grades K-12. (June-August)
- Youth Orchestras of San Antonio will host a variety of camps for young musicians, including band, string orchestra, and mariachi. (July and August)
