How Youth Code Jam impacts San Antonio's shared Community Vision
Youth Code Jam is creating inclusive opportunities for all students to experience computer science and explore with code. With a focus on reaching students under-represented in the industry, Youth Code Jam has specific outreach programs for girls and non-binary youth, students of color, low-income students, the neurodiverse and special needs students. Through afterschool coding clubs, camps, community outreach and teacher professional development, Youth Code Jam seeks out and nurtures a diverse pool of K-12 children to help prepare them for tomorrow's workforce. Youth Code Jam has trained over 700 teachers and engaged more than 20,000 young people in 27 Texas cities.
