How Alamo City Arts impacts San Antonio's shared Community Vision
Beginning as a dance company in 1991, Alamo City Performing Arts Association has grown into an inclusive center that provides aspiring artists and the greater San Antonio community with opportunities to engage in the performing arts, such as their Symphony, Concert Band, Dance Company, and Dance Academy. Alamo City Arts sees every San Antonian as an artist and works to realize San Antonio as a world leader in the arts. Alamo City Arts works in partnership with other local organizations and nonprofits to provide accessible access to arts programming. This work includes the Healing Arts program, a sensory-friendly version of the Nutcracker in partnership with Eva’s Heroes, and donating $100,000 in tickets annually to local nonprofits.
