The Newest Member of the SA2020 Family

Though we’re still not quite over saying goodbye to two of our Communications rock stars, we’re thrilled to welcome our newest SA2020 team member. Mary Kate Hull (you can call her MK) just joined us as the new Communications Specialist.

MK grew up in Wimberley but, as they say, got to San Antonio as soon as she could. She moved to town in 2008 to attend Trinity University, where she studied Communication, English, and the art of chugging coffee. After graduating, she was excited to stick around San Antonio and start a marketing job at local party superstore, Amols’.

While honing her skills (in both marketing and decorating) there, MK also fell more in love with her new city and began to follow SA2020’s work. She jumped at the recent opportunity to join in on the fun.

She’s especially passionate about moving the needle on Health and Fitness and Arts and Culture—two lifelong loves, thanks to her parents. MK’s also a strong supporter of both education and increasing civic engagement (she was beyond excited to vote in a presidential election the day after her 18th birthday).

On Monday we welcomed her with a morning team meeting, lunch at East Side favorite Panchos and Gringos, and lots of great conversation about partners, our data updates, and upcoming events like PechaKucha Vol. 20.

Mary Kate is excited to learn even more about all that’s happening in this City on the Rise and share it with others. You’ll find her all over the place, including on social media and right here on the blog – so be sure to follow along!
