A local blogger and social media manager with a passion for justice, education, health, faith, and family.
A local business owner who isn’t afraid to stand up for what she believes in and makes the city a little friendlier.
A college student and musician who believes San Antonio can be the next best creative city.
A high school student whose passion is getting youth involved in local theatre.
A young professional and Trinity University graduate with a passion for arts and fitness.
These are just some of the SA2020 Ambassadors, a group of dedicated San Antonians, who know that they can help make our city world class. Indeed, they are already doing it. Get to know them all a little better here.
Did I mention there are twenty-eight of these awesome folks?
Nonprofit and community leaders, business owners, corporate bigwigs, and high school and college students. Loopers and double-loopers. San Antonio natives and transplants.
Look…we are aware that SA2020 cannot succeed without the continued effort of San Antonio citizens. It was built by y’all, for crying out loud. This means we need boots on the ground inside the community, keeping everyone informed and engaged. SA2020 started with the people, and we need to harness the power of the people to turn this community vision into a reality. In case you haven’t heard, San Antonio is a city on the rise, and we need you.
To build and maintain the network of engaged, involved citizens, SA2020 Ambassadors are provided with tools and training to take the SA2020 vision in their networks and the community at large. They demonstrate and share the enthusiasm and passion that established SA2020 and exemplify the dedicated efforts we will need to take collective steps toward real progress.
And it’s already started.
TJ reminded people to be heard with his first I Am SA2020 blog, “Citizens to Be Heard.”
Alfred has been connecting the work of his organization, Any Baby Can, to SA2020 goals in Health and Fitness.
Brittany wrote her first I Am SA2020 blog, praising the work of our Summer Fellows and current SA2020 Ambassadors, Nicole, Hannah, and Kanika.
So, this is something new. SA2020 staff can’t be everywhere all the time. Although we try. SA2020 Ambassadors help us expand our reach. And we’ll continue to grow. We’ll make sure to keep you informed when our next class of Ambassadors is up. If you’ve got passion, we want you.
In the meantime, we know you’re already working toward making our city bigger and brighter, so keep on truckin’. You lift us up. San Antonio is a City On the Rise, and we all have a hand in that.
