Style Lush TV is San Antonio’s Online Fashion Television Network. The core of our mission, and our number one priority, is to serve the greater good and bring awareness about the growing fashion community in San Antonio, Texas. As part of our “bigger picture” goals, Style Lush TV strives to serve our entire community by always keeping the SA2020 mission top of mind when coming up with new ideas for San Antonio.
In 2015, Style Lush TV pioneered the San Antonio Fashion Awards, which since then, has bestowed positive exposure and elite accolades to those who help propel our fashion industry into the next generation of excellence. This initiative has also brought credibility to our fashion talent and helped its nominees and winners obtain excelled career opportunities.
This year, as part of our next “service before self” event, Style Lush TV is hosting the inaugural Look Local Fest on Saturday, March 18th. This came as a direct response to our fashion community emails, conversations, social media posts and other methods of communication.
We noticed that while many of our local fashion boutiques would love to buy an advertising campaign with us, sometimes effective advertising is a bit of a luxury for growing entrepreneurs. So we decided to throw an event that promotes their business, serves our local brands and hits on many of their primary needs, including promotion and foot traffic.
Look Local Fest will be a city-backed event that showcases fashion shows all day featuring local boutiques and their inventory. In turn, guests of Look Local Fest will have opportunity to buy their favorite items from the runway immediately at the boutique’s pop up station.
Right now many of our local boutiques are purchasing all their new season inventory and many will be launching their items first exclusively at Look Local Fest. We are very excited to develop an event that not only serves our fashion community but also supports areas of impact that the SA2020 mission is striving to achieve, including Downtown Development, Economic Competitiveness as well as Arts & Culture innovation.
Look Local Fest’s main partner is OPEN DOWNTOWN Pop Up Shops and also includes the support from multiple city departments such as Centro San Antonio, the Arts & Culture Department, Center City Development & Operations Department, and our District 1 Councilman Roberto Treviño.
The event has been deemed “The City’s Chicest Incentive To Shop Local” and will take place at the St. Anthony Hotel from 5pm-2am. A timeline of events include the Red Capet Exhibition set to launch at 5pm, fashion shows and shopping at 7pm and later, the after party set to happen on the beautiful St. Anthony rooftop cabana bar. Look Local Fest is open to the public but the STYLE LUSH VIP Ticket offers a well-rounded experience that includes, two drinks, a St. Anthony food experience, raffle ticket to win a one night stay at the St. Anthony hotel, walk on the red carpet, free access to the exclusive VIP after party on the St. Anthony rooftop and cut the red rope privileges should there be a line.
There will also be a Best Dressed Contest for Best Dressed Female, Best Dressed Male and Best Dressed Couple, all set to win a one night stay at the St. Anthony Hotel.
