With more than 11,000 employees and over $1.2 billion in revenue, SA2020 Nonprofit Partners impact San Antonio’s economy and move the needle on each of San Antonio’s shared goals. Local funders, in partnership with local nonprofit organizations, can produce targeted interventions to impact universal goals. SA2020 recommends that funders shift their resource allocations to provide nonprofit organizations with increased flexibility to respond to the current crisis, which involves trusting nonprofit leaders to shift their work to meet the needs of their staff and the people they serve.

SA2020 Fees for Service for Foundations/Funders & Corporations
In this time of crisis, multi-sector organizations, including Foundations/Funders and Corporations, are shifting the way they work to meet the needs of San Antonians most vulnerable to COVID-19. Ongoing partnership engagement, research on national best practices in philanthropic giving, and our bird’s eye view of San Antonio’s progress, allows SA2020 to support funders in strengthening and developing policies, processes, and grants that are responsive and adaptive to the community’s needs. Using Data to Strengthen Philanthropic Giving
SA2020 is available to inform Foundations/Funders and Corporations on the urgent needs of Nonprofit Partners, and produce recommendations for philanthropic giving that will make the greatest impact at this moment. SA2020’s analysis utilizes the 2019 Community Impact Report and City Council Profiles, which cover up-to-date data on 62 Community Indicators. Additionally, SA2020 maintains two dashboards on Nonprofit Partners’ immediate funding needs and area funders’ responsive funding through the COVID-19 crisis. SA2020’s analysis and recommendations can inform and strengthen the impact of the full breadth of an organization’s philanthropic giving, including grantmaking, sponsorships and marketing, and employee matching programs.
Organization-Specific Impact Reports
SA2020 will document the impact made as a result of Foundation/Funders’ and Corporations’ philanthropic giving and deliver tailored, designed reports. Impact reports include an overview of the specific impact made by the organization(s) funded, and the larger Community Results they move the needle on. Impact reports consist of stories and graphs that may also be reproduced by Foundations/Funders and Corporations in their newsletters, press releases, annual reports, and across social media. SA2020 will also highlight this impact across our own digital platforms, which includes more than 52,000 social media social media followers. Furthermore, this analysis can include the full breadth of philanthropic giving, including sponsorships and marketing, as well as employee donation matching programs.
CARES Act
The Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act, was signed into law on Friday, March 27, 2020 and allocates money through loans and grants to help small businesses with immediate financial needs.
