Alex Z. Salinas was born in Corpus Christi, Texas, and has called San Antonio his home since age 13. At St. Mary’s University, he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science in 2011 and a Master of Arts in English Literature and Language in 2019.
Before joining SA2020 as Content Manager in July 2021, Alex served St. Mary’s for nearly seven years, most recently as Associate Director of Communication Writing and Storytelling, and as a reporter for the San Antonio Express-News for more than three years.
Alex is the author of two full-length poetry collections: WARBLES, and DREAMT, or The Lingering Phantoms of Equinox. His debut book of short stories, City Lights From the Upside Down, will be published in August 2021.
