Every day at SA2020 we coordinate the intentional, concurrent, dynamic and interrelated work led by over 160 multi-sector Partners. We created an interactive visual, the SA2020 Ecosystem Map, so you could see what we’re talking about.
SA2020 Partners include nonprofits, foundations, public institutions, higher education organizations, corporations, and member or trade organizations. Overwhelming at first glance, the Ecosystem Map simply asks for your curiosity. What are the connections between Partners and Cause Areas that surprise you? Start, for example, with Whataburger. Not only do they make the best ketchup in town, they take philanthropic giving seriously, too. Or, click on the Cause Area closest to your heart and see how many folks in our city are making an impact.
By coordinating the work of our Partners and tracking progress towards shared goals, SA2020 holds a unique bird’s eye view of San Antonio. This perspective allows us to identify what interrelated actions sustained over time could produce whole systems-change. This year, we’re elevating five Complex Community Challenges that demand we work together: family violence and child abuse, affordable housing, college readiness and workforce development, mobility, and early childhood (including infant and maternal health through third grade reading). Read more about each of these in our 2018 Impact Report.
In San Antonio, we have a track record of reaching our shared goals by working together. Not only can you search the Ecosystem Map for Partners, Corporate Champions, Collaborative Working Groups, or Cause Areas, you can also see their connection to one another. These connections are opportunities for us to work better together because we know Community Results will not be achieved by one organization working alone. Interested in joining us as a partner? There is no other large city in the United States actively aligning in the way we are here in San Antonio. Whether you come to SA2020 as a new Partner organization or a neighbor, parent, or student, there are many ways for you to get involved and move our city towards our vision.
