What brought you to SA2020?
When I attended the 2018 annual Impact Luncheon, I felt challenged to do better and be better for my city. I came to SA2020 to challenge others to do the same.
Where have you been and where are you going?
I have been in nonprofit for close to 10 years. I recently left Clarity Child Guidance Center but have worked for St. PJ’s Children’s Home and The Arc of San Antonio.
What do you do when you’re not working?
I have a 5-year-old girl going on 15 and a 3-year-old boy that keep me entertained. I am also going to school full time and I own a small crafting business.
What is the SA2020 Cause Area that speaks most to you and why?
Education hands down! I will earn my associates in December. My daughter was a student last year in Pre-K 4 SA and I know that it has helped her with her social skills as she enters kindergarten this year.
With which organization did you last volunteer?
Aside from the SA2020 luncheon this year, The Children’s Shelter Pour Your Heart Into It event.
What are you learning right now?
How to balance life! Progress not perfection.
What is your favorite thing about San Antonio?
TACOS, SPURS & family!
If you had a super power, what would it be?
As a single mom, I would love to able to tell what my children are thinking and feeling at all times.
What’s on your bucket list?
Go skydiving!
Favorite book(s)?
