How Northeast Senior Assistance impacts San Antonio's shared Community Vision

Founded in 1984, Northeast Senior Assistance (NESA) is an interfaith outreach organization that helps older adults age in place. NESA primarily focuses on meeting older adults' (ages 60+) need for transportation. Volunteers provide free one-on-one rides to medical appointments, grocery shopping, errands, social activities, and more. NESA is unique in that they provide “door-through-door” service. Volunteers stay with individuals throughout their entire trips, so that they are not left on their own.
