Goodwill Industries of San Antonio

How Goodwill Industries of San Antonio impacts San Antonio's shared Community Vision

Goodwill Industries of San Antonio envisions a community powered by skilled workforce, successful businesses and a strong economy. Through diverse business services performed through government and commercial contracts by the Goodwill Contract Services unit, donations received and Goodwill store sales, Goodwill provides free career services through 13 Good Career Centers located throughout the communities we serve (San Antonio, New Braunfels, Laredo, Seguin and Kerrville). In addition, we operate three Good Career Academies which provide certification-based training in high demand fields at an affordable price. We have also expanded our Good Career Academy programs into high schools within the Lytle ISD, Hondo ISD, and North East ISD in San Antonio. Goodwill San Antonio recently partnered with Geekdom to host Catapult Weekend, a free, 3-Day Business Startup Weekend. We provided aspiring entrepreneurs the tools and foundation to move their business ideas forward to eventually be a source of employment within the San Antonio community. More Catapult Weekends are planned. Goodwill Industries of San Antonio is a 501(c )(3) non-profit social enterprise. We continue to provide high quality, valued resources for career, educational, and life-skills solutions that prepare individuals for success and prosperity.
