Children's Bereavement Center of South Texas

How Children's Bereavement Center of South Texas impacts San Antonio's shared Community Vision

The Children’s Bereavement Center supports SA2020’s causes in the areas of family wellbeing, education, and health. Our Center currently offers nine free support groups, focusing on seven different types of death loss. Seven groups are separated by the types of loss and two “overflow” groups created to address growing participation numbers. Our Center also hosts an on-site bi-annual “Camp Heroes”, as well as an off-site “Camp Kangeroo” (kicking off in October 2015), offers trainings through the “Grief Education Institute”, outreach efforts to teens at school- based sites, and the “Kids Corps” community disaster response team.
