How Child Advocates San Antonio (CASA) impacts San Antonio's shared Community Vision

Child Advocates San Antonio provides volunteer adult support to children in the child welfare system who have experienced abuse/neglect. As it becomes increasingly difficult for the courts and social workers to make the system work for families and children, judges continue to appoint Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASAs) to as many cases as possible. CASA volunteers provide valuable information and insight about each child, helping the organization meet their individual needs and ultimately disrupt the generational cycle of abuse. Children with CASAs have access to 95.3% of the services they need to mitigate the problems children face when they are separated from their family and neighborhoods.
