How Blue Star Contemporary impacts San Antonio's shared Community Vision

Since our inception in 1986, Blue Star has been a catalyst for change, supporting both the local creative economy and becoming a downtown cultural destination for our neighbors and tourists alike. Through our exhibitions and programs, we support artists—very particularly, San Antonio's contemporary artists. Our MOSAIC youth development program, led by renowned muralist Alex Rubio, provides studio arts training alongside professional development for artistically talented teens. We partner with fellow arts organizations and other community nonprofits, including the San Antonio River Foundation and the San Antonio Botanical Garden to bring dynamic programming to San Antonio.
